The Eleventh Annual Intercompany Long Term Care Insurance Conference marks the start of a new
decade for the ILTCI and our industry. Faced with new challenges, change is all around us, here at
home and around the world. Although there is still much to accomplish, our economy has finally
shown signs of traction, and so too has the LTCI marketplace. During this transition, we must
"energize our industry" and prepare for what the future holds in these uncertain times while remaining
focused on the needs of our aging population. This ILTCI provides an ideal environment to address
these most important issues. Join colleagues, business associates and friends from around the
industry at this premier event. This year's conference is sure to provide a dynamic setting for
engaging discussion, fun-filled networking and a truly rewarding educational experience.
Several new features as well as the traditional popular events will be offered this year. We are
introducing optional pre-conference and post-conference general sessions aimed at providing in-depth
educational material beyond the traditional 75 and 90 minute breakout sessions. The breakout
sessions will continue to highlight a more interactive and interdisciplinary format that was such a
popular experiment last year. Once again the CEO Forum occurs in primetime on Tuesday afternoon.
The conference begins Sunday with a full-day of sessions devoted to long term care insurance from
the sales perspective, from recognized industry experts Margie Barrie, Harley Gordon, Skip Liddell
and Jesse Slome, followed by the opening Exhibit Hall reception. As in past years, the Exhibit Hall
serves as the setting for all meals and networking receptions. Our Keynote Address will open
Monday’s schedule with world renown population expert Steven Mosher. Mr. Mosher, president of the
Population Research Institute, has appreared on CNN and FOX news, 20/20, 60 Minutes, Good
Morning America, and The Today Show, as well as written numerous books and articles. His expertise
is especially important to our industry today when the segmented changes in aging affect long term
care needs today and in the future. Wednesday morning will feature our getaway networking breakfast
and optional post-conference general sessions. Monday and Tuesday will also feature the
educational breakout sessions from our seven educational disciplines: Actuarial, Claims, Compliance,
Marketing, Operations, Policy & Providers and Underwriting. These sessions will also cover topics
important to the Management and Group disciplines.
