USO Jacksonville

The   Executive   Committee   of   the   Intercompany   Long   Term   Care   Insurance   Conference   is happy   to   announce   our   Community   Service   project   for   2017.   We   will   be   supporting   the Jacksonville USO (www.uso.org).   As   a   nonprofit,   non-political   organization,   the   USO   fulfills   its   mission   of   lifting   the   spirits   of America's   troops   and   their   families   at   more   than   160   locations   in   27   states   and   14   countries and   has   been   serving   the   military   and   their   families   since   1941.   The   USO   makes   sure   that your   donations   go   to   those   who   need   it   the   most:      troops   serving   in   combat,   their   families, our wounded warriors and their families and families of the fallen. About the Greater Jacksonville Area USO The   Greater   Jacksonville   Area   USO   was   established   on   December   21,   1979   and   for   over   38   years   has   supported   three   USO   centers   in   Duval   County   Mayport   USO   Center,   Naval   Air   Station   Jacksonville   USO   Center   and   the   Jacksonville   International   Airport   USO   Welcome   Center.   They   have   served over   250,000   active   duty   military   members   by   offering   many   programs   to   support   their   quality   of   life   while   creating   that   “Home   Away   from   Home” environment. The   USO   strengthens   America’s   military   service   members   by   keeping   them   connected   to   family,   home   and   country,   throughout   their   service   to   the nation.   At   hundreds   of   locations   worldwide,   the   USO   is   united   in   their   commitment   to   connect   our   service   members   and   their   families   through countless   acts   of   caring,   comfort,   and   support.   The   USO   is   a   private,   non-profit   organization,   not   a   government   agency.   Their   programs,   services   and entertainment programs are made possible by the American people, support of corporate partners and the dedication of our volunteers and staff. Please   consider   bringing   a   donation   of   a   gift   card   in   any   denomination   to   help   make   the   lives   of   our   servicemen   and   women   in   transition   (and   their families) easier and less stressful. For example:   •     big box stores like Target, Walmart, K-Mart •     dollar stores like Dollar Tree or Family Dollar •     gas stations like Shell or Conoco   You   can   also   make   a   cash   donation   to   help   further   the   mission   of   the   USO   at   their   booth   which   will   be   located   just   inside   the   entrance   to   the exhibit   hall   at   the   Hyatt   Riverwalk.   We   thank   you   for   your   support   -   and   to   show   our   gratitude   the   ILTCI   will   match   all   donations   made   up   to $2,500.   See you all in Jacksonville!
