2016 Conference Charity
The Executive Committee of the Intercompany Long Term Care Insurance Conference is happy to announce our Community Service
project for 2016. We will be supporting the San Antonio USO (www.uso.org).
As a nonprofit, non-political organization, the USO fulfills its mission of lifting the spirits of America's troops and their families at more than
160 locations in 27 states and 14 countries. The USO makes sure that your donations go to those who need it the most: troops serving in
combat, their families, our wounded warriors and their families and families of the fallen.
The San Antonio USO maintains two locations - and is one of the military key sites launching a new program called RP/6 which will provide
a first-of-its-kind concierge approach globally for connecting troops and their families with specific resources and organizations within
their community that will support them on their path forward. This program provides service members and their families with a unique
transition model by opening facilities that in military terms can be coined a "rally point" or civilian "one-stop-shop." They connect targeted
resources for transitioning service members and their families in more efficient, effective and positive ways.
The San Antonio USO support multiple military bases including Randolph, Fort Sam Houston, Lackland and Camp Bullis. These joint bases
comprise over 40,000 family members and are home to hundreds of units across all branches of the military.
Please consider bringing a donation of a gift card in any denomination to help make the lives of our servicemen and women in transition
(and their families) easier and less stressful. For example:
· big box stores like Target, Walmart, K-Mart
· dollar stores like Dollar Tree or Family Dollar
· gas stations like Shell or Conoco
You can also make a cash donation to help further the mission of the USO and the RP/6 program at their booth which will be located just
across from the Registration Desk at the Grand Hyatt. We thank you for your support - and to show our gratitude the ILTCI will match all
donations made up to $2,500.
