2018 ILTCI Charity - USO Las Vegas

The USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country throughout their service to the nation. The USO Las Vegas serves over 90,000 active duty military and their families each year by providing comfort and refreshments at our two airport lounges at McCarran Airport and a new USO Center at Creech AFB. We also conduct 20-30 outreach events per month providing food, entertainment and support to military members and their families. Programs include: a. Bi-monthly deployed family dinners with gifts for the children b. Spouse support activities and baby showers c. United Through Reading program to connect deployed parents to their children d. Family holiday parties both on and off base. e. Support for Unit BBQs, newcomer briefings, promotion and award events. f. Concierge transitions services to help people who are leaving the military find employment, education and other services in the private sector. Funds received from the ILTCI conference will go to helping with all of the above-mentioned services. In 2017 we served over 90,000 troops and their families. As the military presence in the Las Vegas area expands, and more and more burden is put on our active duty troops, the need for our services will only expand. We anticipate serving over 100,000 people in 2018 with our programs. Our focus is entirely on active duty military and their families. We provision all of these services through only six paid staff working with over 300 local volunteers. Stop by the USO Booth in the exhibit hall to make a donation!
